Aaron’s passion for helping children extends from being the oldest of six and a father to four. He has been involved with JL in some fashion for the past 15 years.

Mariann Frigo

Executive Director

Driven by her own son’s needs, Mariann founded Jacob’s Ladder in 1998 to provide therapy services to the children of Northwest Indiana. Her dedication and commitment have led her to sit on several sub-committees for the Indiana First Steps program.

Tony Bombacino

Board Member

As the father of a son with special needs (AJ, 6) who has benefitted from Jacob’s Ladder services in the past, Tony has a unique perspective on and appreciation for the entire JL team and all they do — and is very happy to be a part of the JL Board of Directors. Tony also has an 8 year-old daughter (Luca), is husband to Julie and is the co-founder of Real Food Blends, makers of 100% real food meals for people with feeding tubes.

Erika Dahl

Board Member

Erika Dahl graduated from Purdue University Calumet (now Northwest) with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. In 2004 she began working at the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority as the organization’s Public and Community Relations Manager and soon was the Director of the department. After a short leave to work on a movie as the Travel Coordinator, she came back to northwest Indiana and worked for the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana. She then returned to the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority as the Director of Communications. Recently she was named one of the Northwest Indiana Times’ 20 Under 40.

Dr. Sandra Martinez

Board Member

Dr. Sandra Martinez is a recently retired school superintendent with 42 years of combined service as a public school educator and administrator. She considers her work with Jacob’s Ladder as a perfect opportunity to stay connected with our children.

Jeffrey Withrow

Board Member

Jeffrey has been involved with Jacob’s Ladder in some capacity for the past 20 years as his wife, Cindy, has been working there as a Pediatric Physical Therapist. They have also been involved with helping coordinate the Junior Board as well as working with fundraising committees. They feel that Jacobs Ladder does so much for the community and want to contribute as much as they can.
